You Can Get Paid To Participate In A Cannabis Trial

Volunteering to make a significant contribution to science - wow you would be an icon!

Study shows that 1 in every 7 Aussies has trouble falling asleep and so researchers from Bod and The Woolcock Institute have come together to participate in a trial to understand if Cannabis can help solve this very issue amongst Aussies.

The Woolcock Institute of Medical Research is an independent sleep research organisation, and they have partnered with Bod, a 'pharmaceutical-grade, medicinal cannabis' company, for this upcoming study.

If you can look past the prejudice against Cannabis, there is so much potential to help medical treatments and pain management.

What gets you "high" is just the THC in Cannabis, but it's the CBD element of Cannabis that has researchers intrigued.

Despite the federal government allowing CBD-based products to be bought over the counter from February last year, there are still no TGA-approved products for sale.

However, this is still quite significant because there has never been a study done about cannabis on this scale in Australia before.

How would you contribute to this trial?

They're looking for 200 Aussies to volunteer to take Cannabis capsules and record how it affects their sleep cycle and sleep schedule.

The study will mostly take place online, and they will get the capsules delivered to your home so you don't have to lift a finger.

If you're worried they will also have doctors on standby just in case anything goes wrong.

The active treatment will last around eight weeks, but the follow up will be 12 weeks.

You will be instructed how and when to take it and it'll be up to them to monitor the effects, so you don't have to leave anything up to your imagination.

What qualifications do you need?

You just have to be over the age of 18 and a resident of Australia and have trouble sleeping. You don't have to have a medically diagnosed issue it can literally. just be that you toss and turn and take ages to fall asleep.

How much does the gig pay?

They haven't explicitly mentioned how volunteers would be compensated but it's very rare that medical research participants are not. compensated. On average, a research participant can earn anything $150-500 per day especially when a research project extends for a longer period of time.

How do I apply?

You can express your interest by emailing Bod & Woodlock at canrest@woolcock.org.au and telling them you're interested to participate in the trial. That's it!

If you're keen to find other ways you can make money then this company is paying $6000 just to watch game shows, plus in case you've gone viral on social media, here's how you can get rich!
