Australian Universities Reveal They Won't Fail A Single Student During The Coronavirus Crisis

In Australia, universities have quickly moved towards online learning, with students and teachers digitally.

The sudden move towards remote learning has students struggling to maintain motivation or adapting to the rapid digitalisation of how they are meant to learn.

However, to support their students many Australian universities have introduced as much flexibility as possible to reduce the impact of this pandemic.

Many universities such as University of New South Wales, LaTrobe University, Swinburne University and Macquarie University are choosing to not add fail grades to any students academic transcripts for this semester. Additionally, many institutions are also choosing to assess certain courses based on a pass/fail basis.

Other universities are following and exploring the possibility of altering their assessment methods to increase their support for their international and local students.
