This Is The Eye-Watering Salary Of Australia’s New Highest Paid Cricketer

You know those stories where people get disgustingly rich overnight? Well, this is one of them!

The Indian Premier League is probably the biggest commercial cricket league that is hosted in India and recruits players from all over the world.

Obviously, there are heaps of Aussie cricketers in the mix too. However, this one Aussie cricket took the spotlight for taking home $1.5 million!

Tim David was auctioned to Mumbai Indians for $1.53 million but who is he? Born in Singapore and grew up in Perth and played for Hobart Hurricanes in the domestic Big Bash League T20 competition. He's the definition of an underdog and it's amazing how he's being recognized.

Tim David had 6 teams fighting for him leading to Mumbai Indians procuring paying the highest they have ever paid to a non-Indian player! I understand nothing about cricket and I think that's impressive AF.

This means Tim David earns more than the Australian Test captain Pat Cummins and other Australian start's including Josh Hazlewood, David Warner and Mitch Marsh.

He's been recognised for his big-hitting and clever bowling towards the end of an innings. Maybe now he will become a household name even back here in Australia.

Contrasting Australian names who missed out altogether on the IPL's big fat paychecks.

Some of the other Aussie players who get paid to be on IPL teams are Hazlewood for $1.44 million at Royal Challengers Bangalore, Pat Cummins for $1.35 million at Kolkata Knight Riders, Mitch Marsh earning $1.2 million and David Warner making $1.16 million at Delhi Capitals.
