It’s really a one stone - two birds situation here, this app helps you find restaurant food that is essentially free with the purpose of reducing food waste.
I was shocked to learn that most restaurants that all the food they don’t sell by the end of the day, they THROW AWAY! My little foodie heart broke, that’s when I stumbled upon Bring Me Home. This app partners with local restaurants to sell their leftover food at a reduced price at the end of the day.
You can get such. crazy variety like sushi, paper rolls, bakery food, pizza and even pre-packed hot meals. For example, a 6-pack of doughnuts priced at $35 would go for $9.90 at the end of the day, $13 Roll’d rice paper roll would be reduced to $5 from $13. Such a godsend for a student budget!
I used this app heaps when I was in uni and it saved me so much $$$ especially when I didn’t have the time (or was too lazy to cook) during exam season, so I definitely recommend exploring this app!
