You Can Win A Life-Changing Cash Prize By Playing Squid Game In Real Life

An opportunity to win a big-fat cash prize, minus the violence? It's a big-fat yes from me!

Everyone's obsessed with Squid Games, at one point all that was on my FYP was Squid Games theories, thirst traps and appreciation posts, and I 100% wasn't the only one.

To get in on the action, an Aussie entertainment company AMA Management has decided to re-create the Squid Games across the country to give 2,000 lucky people a chance to win a sh*t load of money without risking your life - that's a relief!

They're calling it the Squiz Gamez (yea, it's not the most creative!). Their website says the competition will take place next year across all Australian capital cities, and up to 2,000 people will be chosen to play, with the winner taking home a “life-changing cash prize”.

They've not really specified how much cash exactly, but I'm assuming a sh*t load of cash will be more than a couple of grand. To also be super close to the Squid Game experience, at the end of the games, the winner will also be driven home in a stretch limousine with seven of their mates. Cute touch!

What exactly is the Squiz Gamez?

This Squiz Gamez seems like a hybrid of a lottery, tournament and festival to be honest. You have to purchase a ballot ticket, then wait to see if you're one of the lucky 2,000 that can play the game.

Then, if you're one of the lucky 2,000 people selected, you will be sent one of those cards like in the show with a number on the back. You will have to call that number to find out the location of the tournament.

The game will be split up into 4 rounds, with up to 500 people participating per round. Just like the show, the participants will take on a series of challenges to move ahead in the game and if they lose, they will be sent home.

You know how we said this also felt like a festival? That's because if you aren't selected to play in the Squiz Gamez, you can get VIP access and watch the games as spectators!

How do you enter the Squiz Gamez?

To enter you have to a ballot ticket, which costs $92 (pricey but worth it?) which will enter you into a lottery to be selected to participate in the Squiz Gamez.

The games will be held in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra, Hobart and Adelaide so everybody gets a chance.

You can purchase the ticket here.

AMA management hasn't released what the games are going to be like exactly, but we think it'll be pretty close to the actual show considering how they've planned everything else. We recommend you read some of the mind-blowing fan theories for some hints if you're keen to enter the tournament yourself.

Plus, if you're not in the mood to go through a whole tournament to make some easy cash, you can also get paid $9000 to watch The Simpsons - how awesome is that?
