Jetstar Flights From Sydney To Melbourne Could Cost $19 Once Restrictions Ease

There might just be a silver lining to Australia’s travel ban.

The strict domestic and international travel bans have severely affected the airline industry, even forcing Virgin Australia to go into voluntary administration.

What does this mean for you? Once the travel ban is lifted Jetstar will be offering fares that will be as low as $19 for Melbourne-Sydney flights. So if you have loved ones you need to visit or just need a change of scenery post-lockdown, these low-fares are bound to make it easier on your wallet.

Qantas's purpose of offering these low-fares is to ensure they are covering basic costs and are also catering to the predicted surge in demand for domestic travel. It might still be a couple of months before the travel ban is lifted, but we are finally seeing a light at the end of this tunnel.
