Aussies Are Being Called On To Grow Mullets Next Month To Raise Money For Mental Health
If Aussies needed another reason to grow mullet, we have one that can help save lives.
There is nothing more Australian than rocking a mullet, professional from the front and party at the back. If any haircut could be a conversation starter, it would be a mullet.
The Black Dog Institute has brilliantly taken this hairstyle that unites the country and has launched a campaign where you grow a mullet to help raise funds to fight the stigma against mental health issues amongst men.
The Black Dog Institute website says "Suicide is the leading cause of death among Australians aged 15-44, and 60% of Australians reporting symptoms of mental illness don't seek help.”
The 'Mullets For Mental Health' campaign is set to launch in a little more than three weeks, so you have a bit of time to break the news to your friends and family, and prepare yourself for it.
All you have to do is register to create your unique mullet fundraising page, share it with your friends and family, asking them to research about and support the cause. You then transform your hair into a mullet on 1st September 2020. If you’re already rocking a Mullet you can just grow it out, that counts too!
Who’s ready to spark some conversations and raise money and rocking an iconic hairstyle at the same time?
