Milo Mochi Is The Next Tik-Tok Recipe We're Dying To Try
If there is something this world needed more of, it’s milo-flavoured food! * Enter Milo mochi *
Not going to lie the whole pasta chips thing was making me question whether Tik-Tok recipes were going too far, but then Milio Mochi showed up on my FYP, and I had faith in viral recipes again.
For those who don’t know, Mochi is a Japanese rice dessert that comes in a squishy ball shape, is filled with ice cream or just plain old fresh cream, and it deserves all the attention it’s getting off late!
We have TikToker @audreysaurus to thank who took to the app to share her genius invention getting her racking up over 1.3 million likes and over 10.8 thousand comments, and rightly so.
My lack of culinary skills does have me worried if I will make an edible version of this recipe, but in the name of our favourite chocolate malt, I will give it a try!
We’ve listed the ingredients + method so you don’t have to keep rewatching the Tik-Tok, enjoy!
Ingredients:
1/3 cup heavy whipping cream.
1 tsp sugar.
1 tbsp milo.
60g glutinous rice flour.
30g sugar.
100ml water.
Method:
Whip heavy cream, milo and sugar till you get stiff peaks
Scoop small balls of the mixture and pop it in the freezer
Next, combine the glutinous rice flour, 30 grams of sugar and water in a bowl, then microwave it for one minute twice, gently fold the mixture. Then microwave the mixture again but this time for 30 seconds twice, gently folding during the intervals
Once the rice flour dough is a solid consistency you can dust it with corn starch
Split the mixture into even pieces and wrap each piece around the mochi evenly, pinching the rice flour dough shut.
Coat the outside with loads of milo powder
Stuff your face with this amazing creation
